Our Location

Find us off the A143 outside Diss at Little Green (not Great Green), Thrandeston

Set in the Waveney Valley’s lush countryside on the Norfolk/Suffolk border just a hop, skip and a jump from the popular market town of Diss, you’ll find us on the edge of the village of Thrandeston. Mentioned in the Domesday Book with arable holdings, later becoming known for the growing of hemp to supply the linen market in the nearby town of Diss around the 17th Century, Thrandeston is a typical Suffolk village and we’re proud to call it home.

We’re surrounded by countryside in a secluded setting with rolling fields where sheep graze and grass is grown for haymaking.  South facing, the Barn is the perfect spot to watch some magnificent sunsets.

It’s hard to believe that it’s just a 5-minute taxi ride from Diss where visitors can pick up the mainline train to/from London; so perfectly placed for family and friends to travel by public transport.

We’re also within easy reach of some of the area’s most popular coastal and city destinations.  It’s just 20 miles to Bury St Edmunds with its Cathedral, parks and shopping; 25 miles to the medieval City of Norwich as well as Ipswich, and 30 miles to the delightfully quaint seaside town of Southwold.
